Beautiful words from Ann - Brisbane Wedding Celebrant

I had known for a long while that when I launched my marriage celebrant business, I wanted Britt to photograph Ceremona’s branding images AND that she and I would be kindred spirits. What I didn’t know is how authentically she would capture the essence of Ceremona. Through her warmth, artistry and passion for light and colour, she not only captured that essence, but handed it back as a beautiful gift. Thank you, Britt! We had the most fun afternoon - dodging rain, chasing light, finding all the plant friends and fun backdrops! You are a treasure!

A new mothers love - North Brisbane

Photographing a new mother is probably one of the most enjoyable experiences for me as a photographer. Newborns are fairly easy to work with because they are sleepy and love being cuddled (I just described myself haha). New mums are so in love with their little creation and the connection is strong. There is not a lot for me to do other than capture that new connection. Demi was so well prepared for the day with her outfits and having her hair and makeup done that on the day she could simply relax and enjoy the moment. Hope you love these images as much as me I even did a little video to show how easy this kind of photoshoot is with me. Enjoy! B x

Demi got her dress from Hello Molly
Ryker’s cute little outfit is from Jamie Kay Store
Hair by Kelly Hort Hair
Makeup By Lira

What happens during a photoshoot with Britt? Video taken around North Brisbane.

Love in Sherwood Arboretum

There are some people you meet in life and you just connect straight away, Justin & Amy are one of those people. They are genuine and kind and think the world of their little boy Peter. When parents share their story with me about how hard it can be to conceive it makes me realise and appreciate why they view family photography so important in their life. They appreciate every single minute of every day with their little one and they want to document it. Its a beautiful thing that I don’t take for granted. Thank you for choosing me Amy! It was such a privilege to photograph your beautiful little family. Bxxx

Post Wedding Portraits!

{Brisbane Mount Cootha Botanical Gardens}

Post-Wedding Portraits?  Is there such a thing?  Well for some it's just weird, why wouldn't you get your portraits done on the wedding day???  To others it makes perfect sense (my husband and I had pre-wedding portraits) because on the wedding day some want to have every minute to celebrate with their friends and family so they schedule portraits for afterwards.  Well I have to say I'm so happy Mel and Dave asked me because it was a BLAST to spend 2 solid hours with no constraints and no stress what-so-ever just wandering the gardens taking beautiful photos together not caring about where we have to be next.  *sigh*

Wow, a portrait photographers dream!  Thank you Mel & Dave, love you both xx

Vieille Branche {Brisbane}

"The Old Branch"

Vieille Branche in Albion Brisbane is a place that once you walk in the "doors" you become completely and utterly overcome with inspiration.  I said "doors" because technically they don't have doors, its a warehouse you see, its different to other coffee shops and restaurants.  Its unique and its why its become one of Brisbane's best coffee shops and music venues!

To be asked to photograph the owners Jen & JC and their little one Manou was such a privilege and a little nerve wracking because Jen is an amazing photographer herself.... just check out her Instagram feed... they are all her images!

So I give you a sneak peek of one of my favourite portraits of Jen herself.  I love everything about it, from the expression to her gorgeous crinkled linen top to the hint of ribbon in her hair.  Jen is so stunning and she doesn't even know it.

My partner in crime was responsible for Jens gorgeous makeup and hair on the day.  Thanks Livie!!! xxxx
