Tuscany castle engagement shoot

If there is ever a place in my heart that I feel more at home than in Brisbane its Tuscany, hands down. We stayed in a castle for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had the opportunity to finally photograph one of my best friends engagement/wedding portraits. You see I live in Brisbane and she lives in the North of England! I haven’t been around for either her engagement or wedding but we made up for it in Tuscany! What an amazing afternoon we had wandering around the grounds of our Castle. Liv and Carl I absolutely LOVE YOU! xxxx

Ps. more photos to come obviously

Holiday Photography Tips

Recently I went on holiday with my hubby to Europe. You see it was our 25th wedding anniversary! wowzers. I felt the pressure to record it in a big way. I was not going to just take my iPhone of course but what camera should I bring??? How am I going to actually be IN the photos for once. My hubby has no interest in learning how to use my big bulky Canon 5D Mark III……. every photo he takes of me is blurry because he hasn’t quite worked out how to correctly focus. gah. I’m going to write a full blog post this week and give you my tips on what camera to bring, what lens you should choose, how to take sweet images that you are proud of and how you can get IN the photos without breaking your arm trying to do a selfie. I really think you’ll love this post…. stay tuned!

Best Children's Portraits - Brisbane

Childrens portraits are SO MUCH fun! The kids love it and the parents love that we are capturing a time of their life that is so special and goes so quickly. I wanted to highlight in this blog post that you don’t always have to be in the photograph if you don’t want to. Of course I’d rather it if you were but sometime you just want the kids captured and that’s ok too! With my kids portrait photoshoots I always meet you at a pretty location that I will show you exactly how to get to before the shoot and it is usually North of Brisbane near Redcliffe or Nudgee as its really easy to get to on the M1. We spend 1 - 1.5 hors together just having fun and exploring with the kids and by the end of it you will have beautiful sunlit images to cherish for a very long time. Here are just a few of my favourite images of children I have had the privilege of photographing! Bx

Branding & Headshot Photography

Ann Taylor is a Celebrant from Ceremona Weddings. She’s such a lovely down to earth person with a big heart. She absolutely loves everything to do with weddings and especially the ceremony of it because she feels its a very special event. I agree. She really wanted some Branding images and Headshots to use across all of her social media and for pamphlets as well. She especially wanted me to portray in the images how much she loves nature, drinking tea and her approachable and relaxed personality. I really feel like together we nailed it! We had such a fun day walking up and down James Street in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Hope you like these images too and you can clearly see Anns gorgeous personality. Bx

Mother and baby - Brisbane

I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, photographing a mum and her bubb is absolutely devine. Under 1 year old is the BEST time to take portraits of your little one. They are usually not walking, they are usually cuddly, easily distracted, loves cameras! and are SUPER DOOPER CUTE. So if you have been thinking about it don’t wait too long because that time flies so fast and before you know it they’ll be a little boy or girl. Here is one of my favourite shoots with Caitlin & Dexter. Hope you enjoy. Bx
