Holiday Photography Tips

Recently I went on holiday with my hubby to Europe. You see it was our 25th wedding anniversary! wowzers. I felt the pressure to record it in a big way. I was not going to just take my iPhone of course but what camera should I bring??? How am I going to actually be IN the photos for once. My hubby has no interest in learning how to use my big bulky Canon 5D Mark III……. every photo he takes of me is blurry because he hasn’t quite worked out how to correctly focus. gah. I’m going to write a full blog post this week and give you my tips on what camera to bring, what lens you should choose, how to take sweet images that you are proud of and how you can get IN the photos without breaking your arm trying to do a selfie. I really think you’ll love this post…. stay tuned!

Family photoshoots are the best

Families! They make the world go round. They make us happy and give us a reason to be better people. Families are fun, they are relaxed and they can be what ever you want them to be. Its your photoshoot after all. I will guide you on the day with how to pose and literally that is just putting you in a very pretty spot and the most gorgeous light and asking you to just be yourself and interact with the kids. Its literally THAT SIMPLE. Honestly if you are unsure please jump onto Google and check my reviews, it really gives you an insight into how my families felt about their photoshoots. We always meet north of Brisbane, about 30mins from the CBD because its easy for everyone to get to. I am definitely open to new locations just let me know what you have in mind and we can plan a really fun and relaxed photoshoot together. Here are some of my favourite Brisbane family portraits I hope you love them too. Bx

Mother and baby - Brisbane

I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, photographing a mum and her bubb is absolutely devine. Under 1 year old is the BEST time to take portraits of your little one. They are usually not walking, they are usually cuddly, easily distracted, loves cameras! and are SUPER DOOPER CUTE. So if you have been thinking about it don’t wait too long because that time flies so fast and before you know it they’ll be a little boy or girl. Here is one of my favourite shoots with Caitlin & Dexter. Hope you enjoy. Bx

Sisters Creek Session

These are my little friends Zoelei and Saila. I asked their Mum if I could borrow them for the afternoon to scout out a new location in Brisbane. They got all dressed up for me and really got into our little shoot. Little darlings they are! Thank you Z&S for being so awesome and also for having the coolest mum around! Bxxx

River Love

Something a little different for you today.  Brisbane is all about the outdoors, fresh air, fitness, sunshine and bright colours.  Ben & Kara brought all of that to their shoot including a lot of lurve.  Can't wait to share more of their stunning and very sweet images with you soon!
